Clinical Research Master Class
A four months course offering hands-on learning, mentorship, and industry-relevant experience tailored to aspriring and developing professionals ready to enter the fast-evolving field of clinical research. We prepare graduates and young professionals to be confident, capable, and industry-ready.

SA Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
The foundation of clinical trial conduct, equiping leaners with essential knowledge to uphold ethical standards, protect participant rights, and ensure data integrity in research. This is a 16-hour training is delivered virtually and on-site, ensuring accessibility for all learner and fully compliant to SAHPRA requirements.
What the programme includes:
- South African GCP: Clinical Trial Guidelines Version 3, 2020.
- Current ICH GCP guidleines.
- Introduction to Ethics in Health Research including SA NDoH 3rd ed 2024.
- HPCSA Acrreditated GCP certificate valid for three years.
CRA Boot Camp

Extended refresher GCP – Main changes 2025
In line with SA GCP 4.3.3.10, a GCP refresher is required every three years for SAHPRA compliance. Afrileadtech offers a 16-hour refresher module, updated with the latest ethical guidelines. Available online or in-person, it’s designed for those already trained on SA GCP version 3 (2020).

- Updated Declaration of Helsinki.
- ICH GCP R3.
- Updated EC Health. Research, NDoH 2024.
Ethics in Health Research
In line with the 2024 SA Ethics in Health Research Guidelines (3rd ed), we have prepared an 8-hour training allowing all researchers working with humans or animals to complete theoretical ethics training. Proof of ethics training within the past three years is required to meet NDoH expectations.

2023
The School of Clinical Research was founded, driven by a passion to answer the question: How do I enter the clinical trials field? Subject matter experts collaborated to design a practical, solution-focused programme.
2024
Three Clinical Research Masterclass cohorts were successfully conducted, training over 40 learners and facilitating externship and placement opportunities. Additionally, more than 50 learners obtained GCP certification.
2025
The School continues to grow—expanding its course offerings and extending the reach of the Masterclass. It remains committed to building a strong pipeline of capacitated clinical research professionals across Africa.
