TRAINER & MENTOR

Retha Britz has three Master’s degrees: two in Philosophy (M.Phil), Medical Law and Ethics, and Applied Ethics, as well as an M.Sc in Physiology. She served as the first author on a publication in the South African Medical Journal (SAMJ) and authored a book in 2014 titled “Clinical Research Conduct in South Africa: Informed Consent.” Has been a Module Advisor and Lecturer for an international MSc course in Quality Management in Scientific Research & Development offered by the Research Quality Association (RQA) at Cranfield University in the United Kingdom.


In her career, Retha has managed multinational projects as a Senior Clinical Operations Manager across over 15 countries and 65 sites. She has also held the position of Regional Clinical Quality Assurance Manager for an international pharmaceutical company, overseeing operations in nine African and Middle Eastern nations. Additionally, Retha designs and conducts various accredited training courses and workshops in healthcare. Her expertise has gained recognition nationally and internationally, including acknowledgment from the Ministry of Health in Botswana.


Since 2008, she conducts on-site and remote compliance audits of international clinical trials in numerous African countries, the Netherlands, and Italy. She graduated Cum Laude in ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems Implementation and Facilitation training. Furthermore, she holds Cum Laude certification in ISO 13485:2016 for Quality Management Systems for Medical Devices Implementation and Facilitation, as well as Lead Auditing certification for the same standard.
