With over 35 years of progressive experience, this seasoned Healthcare and Laboratory Consultant has cultivated an exceptional track record in biotechnology, clinical research, and operational excellence. Her career began in diagnostic microbiology and clinical pathology, where she spent nearly two decades mastering laboratory management, staff training, and quality systems implementation.

She went on to serve as Laboratory and Quality Manager at the National Institute of Communicable Diseases (NICD), where she led HIV virology research labs, trained staff across disciplines, and supported high-profile clinical trials. Her leadership in lab oversight expanded regionally during her tenure at Wits RHI, where she coordinated clinical trial operations across multiple sites, championed quality assurance, and played a vital role in HIV prevention research initiatives under global networks like HPTN, HVTN, and CONRAD.

As a consultant since 2018, she provides specialized support to laboratories and clinical research sites, offering expertise in ISO and GCLP compliance, lab set-up, audit readiness, and continuous improvement. She is also an academic contributor, lecturing postgraduates in Clinical Research and Quality of Medicines at Tshwane University of Technology and facilitating GCP and research ethics training for clinical trial staff across South Africa.

Currently, she continues to shape the future of healthcare and research through leadership roles, including her position as Executive Officer at SALDA and her ambassadorship with VIARES. Her dedication to advancing laboratory excellence and ethical clinical research has impacted Africa’s scientific and healthcare landscape.
